Tenure-track Assistant Professor
The Connecticut College department of chemistry invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the area of biochemistry beginning in fall 2010. The successful candidate will teach the year-long biochemistry course with laboratory and develop a research program involving undergraduates. Other teaching responsibilities may include general chemistry laboratory or other courses that meet the candidate's interest and department needs. The department offers ACS-certified majors in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as an interdisciplinary major in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology.

A Ph.D. with expertise in biochemistry is required. Postdoctoral experience is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively across chemistry and biology disciplines is desired.

Tenure-track faculty members teach a 3-2 load (2-2 in the first year).
