Connecticut College, a highly selective private liberal arts college, seeks a full time Administration Systems & Information Specialist to assist the Vice President of Administration and his direct reports with improving the operational effectiveness of their departments through the redesign of business processes and integration of technology. 

Reporting to the Vice President of Administration, the successful candidate will provide business improvement and technical leadership to the Dining Services, Physical Plant, Campus Safety, Events & Catering and Auxiliary Services departments.  She/he will propose and implement business effectiveness strategies that leverage a strong understanding of both business operations and information technology; coordinate the implementation of new software systems and the upgrades of existing systems, including developing testing plans and establishing timelines;  bring relevant technical and business competencies, and maintain these competencies as business practices and technology evolve; coordinate and provide users with training on systems, data and reporting; provide data queries, reports and documentation to support business processes improvements and system implementations; coordinate and function as a liaison between the college’s Information Services team and the Administration departments in order to maintain security, analyze processes, and ensure system functionality. 

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years of business analysis and technology responsibilities, or an associate’s degree with at least six years of business analysis and technology responsibilities is required; self-motivated and able to initiate and influence change and foster a continuous quality improvement environment; knowledgeable in analyzing, designing, and improving business processes and project management methodologies; experience implementing and utilizing business software applications; demonstrated project and team leadership skills; excellent oral and written communications skills and proven ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical constituents; well organized, and able to work under pressure; adaptable to changing technology requirements of the campus community. High integrity required to handle confidential information.
