On Call Campus Safety Officer

CONNECTICUT COLLEGE, a highly selective private liberal arts college, located in the historic seaport of New London, has multiple opportunities available for safety officers to work in an on call capacity. S/he will be responsible for maintaining the security of persons and property at Connecticut College. Must have the ability to make sound decisions and have good judgment when faced with situations. Must also be able to write clear and concise reports, and have no prior criminal record; will be necessary to qualify in CPR and First Aid. Our ideal candidate must have the capability and flexibility to work second and/or third shifts (shifts will range between 4 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.); and will include weekends.
High school graduate with 2-5 years related experience needed; some college preferred. A pre-placement physical exam and other testing will be administered.
