Meadow in the Connecticut College Arboretum
A meadow like this one swarms with insect, birds, and other critters throughout the summer and into the fall.

A view of Haley farm taken in 1981. This site provides just another example of the outstanding natural character of minimally managed old field sites preserved as a testament to our inheritance of a post-agricultural environment.

Meadow in the Native Plant Collection of the Connecticut College ArboretumA meadow located between the Arboretum pond and the Gries Conifer Collection in the Native Plant Collection of the Connecticut College Arboretum. Mowed annually, this meadow is an example of the beauty inherent in our local plant communities given the minimum of managed maintenance.
