Invasive Species Survey

New Milford Residents Invasive Species Survey

Arboretum Director Glenn Dreyer and Goodwin-Niering Center Mellon Visiting Fellow Wei Ying Wong have developed a research project that seeks to understand how local residents perceive invasive species. A 10-page survey has been sent to 1000 randomly selected New Milford, CT residents who live on property of ¼ acre or more. Participants are asked about their gardening activities and their awareness of invasive species as a subject and about invasive plants in particular. Previous surveys have gone to 1000 residents of Waterford, CT and to members of the Connecticut Invasive Species Working Group.
