Dial Down Campaign
Members of the campus community are urged to "dial down" their thermostats and radiators to save energy.
This campus-wide campaign is designed to reduce fuel usage during the winter months by approximately 20,000 gals for every degree reduced from an average of 75°F in steam-heated buildings.
The range of automated building temperatures has been reduced from 74-70 degrees to 72-68 degrees. The reduced use of heating oil also decreases the amount of carbon emissions into the environment.
