Campus Community Coffee Break

On Thursday, March 27, students, staff and faculty were invited to have coffee with President Bergeron, preceding the Staff Council meeting in the Alice Johnson Room.

New London Community Reception

In advance of the Inauguration, the greater New London community was invited to meet Connecticut College President Katherine Bergeron at a special community reception on Thursday, March 27. All were invited to drop in between 5 and 7 p.m., meet President Bergeron and other College administrators, faculty, staff and students, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a student a cappella performance.

On Tuesdsay, April 1, the campus community was invited to enjoy a longstanding College tradition of tea and cookies with President Bergeron.

Panel: Arts in the Digital Age

Student, faculty and alumni panelists shared their experiences with technological advances that have made it possible for people to make and share creative work, and the effects of technology on the arts in contemporary culture.

Dinner & Reception

Invited guests joined President Bergeron and her family in a special dinner. The 1962 Room of the College Center at Crozier-Williams was transformed to feel like Tempel Green, complete with silhouettes of nearby buildings.

The campus community and Inauguration guests were invited to enjoy delicious desserts before the evening’s musical performances, titled "An Evening of Voice and Community."

Installation Ceremony

At the Installation Ceremony, the keynote speech was delivered by Ruth J. Simmons, President Emerita and Professor of Comparative Literature and Africana Studies, Brown University. President Katherine Bergeron delivered her inaugural address, "Transplanted By a River."
