College computers issued to faculty and staff can be configured to print to departmental printers. The printer drivers will be installed when the College-issued computers are deployed.
The Desktop Support team will maintain these printers. If a repair is needed, the user should submit a ticket through the IT Service Desk, http://webhelpdesk.conncoll.edu, and select request type, Printing, Departmental Printer, Setup. Departments are responsible for purchasing supplies for these departmental printers such as toner and paper.
Ruth Seeley, Computer Support Services Manager, must approve all department printer purchases to ensure they meet support requirements. If a new or replacement department printer model is not pre-approved by the Computer Support Services Manager, it may not be eligible for on-site tech support by a member of the Desktop Support Team.
Faculty and staff can also print to the multi-functional devices (MFD's) deployed on campus by Printing and Mailing services.

If you are unable to use your department printer due to maintenance or other issue, the IT Service Desk recommends printing to a PaperCut printer as an interim solution.
