HONORS PAPERS AND MASTER OF ARTS THESES IN THE CONNECTICUT
COLLEGE ARCHIVES
The collection of Honors papers and M.A. theses in the College Archives
is an intellectual record of the scholarly efforts of Connecticut
College undergraduate and graduate students. The earliest
undergraduate Honors papers cataloged in the Archives date
to the 1920s. The earliest M.A. theses are from the 1960s.
An archival copy of each Honors paper and M.A. thesis written
at the College is deposited in the library by the Registrar. The library
catalogs and shelves them in the Archives, with the exception
of Music Department items, which are kept at Greer Music Library.
Honors papers and M.A. theses do not circulate and must be
read in the Archives or Special Collections. Photocopying
is not allowed, except for small sections, without the written
permission of the author. Similarly, they are not lent through
Interlibrary Loan, although a copy will be made on request
with the permission of the author. Since 2005 some Honors Papers have been made available online through Digital Commons.
