It is the intent
of Connecticut College to adhere to the provisions of the
U.S. Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S. Code Sect. 101, et seq.),
the congressional fair use guidelines, and licenses and contractual
agreements in the provision of resources and services to the
Connecticut College community. The College recognizes the
role of copyright in promoting scholarly research and publication,
and supports compliance of these laws by faculty, students,
and staff.
Members of the
campus community are advised to become as knowledgeable as
possible regarding copyright and fair
use as it pertains to their discipline. Connecticut College
does not accept legal responsibility for copyright infringement
by individual members of the College community. Individuals
who willfully disregard College policy and guidelines do so
at their own risk and assume all liability.
