Copyright Policy Statement

It is the intent of Connecticut College to adhere to the provisions of the U.S. Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S. Code Sect. 101, et seq.), the congressional fair use guidelines, and licenses and contractual agreements in the provision of resources and services to the Connecticut College community. The College recognizes the role of copyright in promoting scholarly research and publication, and supports compliance of these laws by faculty, students, and staff.

Members of the campus community are advised to become as knowledgeable as possible regarding copyright and fair use as it pertains to their discipline. Connecticut College does not accept legal responsibility for copyright infringement by individual members of the College community. Individuals who willfully disregard College policy and guidelines do so at their own risk and assume all liability.

Course Reserves Policy and Procedures
