entomology, ecology, immunology, microbiology, genetics, immunology,
and agriculture. Years of coverage are 1982 to the present. Additional
databases that can be accessed include Biology Digest, Medline (10
years), Plant Science, Toxline and a Web Resources database.
Crossfire Beilstein database is the world’s
largest compilation of chemical facts. Beilstein indexes 3 primary
data domains: substances, reactions, and literature. The Crossfire
Commander client provides the power to search and explore these
complimentary databases. The Commander client is currently loaded
on several workstations in all of the electronic classrooms in Shain
Library. The use of this database is restricted to the campus community

containing over 11 million references to journal articles in life
sciences with a concentration on biomedicine.
ScienceDirect
covers resources in chemistry, materials science, engineering and
technology, environmental science, pharmacology and toxicology,
physics, math and computer science, earth sciences, biochemistry,
microbiology and immunology, biological sciences, and clinical medicine.
Coverage for Elsevier titles runs from Jan. 1995 forward. Academic
