The K-HHMI Visiting Fellows faculty development program involves well-established experts who work with Connecticut College faculty to integrate emerging and changing sub-fields into courses and laboratories. Material developed is incorporated as Modules in Emerging Fields in existing courses and may also be used to develop new courses and research projects. Modules (such as CD-ROMs and videotapes) are distributed to other colleges and universities. The K-HHMI Visiting Fellows provide additional contacts for CC faculty for seminar speakers, research assistantships and making visits to research laboratories. How to order CD-ROM's.

To attract and assist potential science students from underrepresented groups such as first-generation college students, women and minorities, the Connecticut College Summer Science Program, students were identified and recruited by the Office of Admission to participate in a HHMI-funded pre-college program on the college campus. The CCSSP included summer preparatory science courses and research assistantships extending through the students' undergraduate experience. The program has concluded.
