Student Long Distance Services Billing Policy

Approved by Senior Administrators, May 22, 2006

Policy

Students in the residence halls have local calling access from their rooms regardless of participation in the long distance program at Connecticut College. As long as the College offers long distance 1+ dialing, all students will be eligible to join the program.

Long distance rates are subject to change without notice and will be adjusted based on cost adjustments to the College.

Students will be assigned a Long Distance Account PIN Code and will be responsible for all calls charged to their account code until the account code is personally cancelled by the student. Should the personal PIN code be lost, stolen, or used by unauthorized persons, the student's financial responsibility will continue until the College receives notification of its loss or misuse.

Any long distance call that is connected, no matter how short the duration, is billable.

Students will have 30 days from receipt of the monthly bill to address any questions or to submit requests for credit. No requests for credit will be accepted past the current billing cycle. Unpaid student long distance accounts that have been returned to the College are subject to the College policy on financial obligations that are outstanding.
