Dear Connecticut College Alumni:

Summer is winding down and CC is getting ready for a new academic year. The College is preparing its welcome for the Class of 2009 and Camel athletes are training for a new season. See photos of returning athletes in action and look below for more campus news.

A taste of China. Palmer Auditorium is the first stop for Chinese musicians and dancers on a U.S. tour co-produced by CC’s Lan-Lan Wang.
Happy 25th! The Roth Writing Center celebrates a milestone anniversary Sept. 15 and 16 and honors founder Theresa Ammirati.
From theory to practice. Planning his first major museum exhibition gives curator Dan Fulco ’04 a chance to prove himself.
Fall sports. CC teams prep for a new season in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
• Orientation 2005. CC welcomes freshmen with briefings, mini-classes, an open house and — after the parents leave — get-acquainted games and a country fair.
Ode to the ‘inner geek.’ Helping students uncover their scientific spirit is a passion of CC chemistry Professor Marc Zimmer. He explains in an essay published in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
