Comments, nominations welcomed by panelKnow someone who would be the perfect leader of CC? If so, the committee charged with searching for the College’s 10th president would like to hear from you. The committee’s web site is online with news about the search, information about the job and links for contacting the committee. Phil McLaughlin, co-chair of the panel, a CC trustee and father of two CC alumnae, said the committee is eager to hear from alumni, parents and other friends of the College. Some questions they might consider answering: * When the committee presents CC to presidential candidates, what strengths should it highlight? * What do you think will be the most important work of the next president? * How would you describe Connecticut College to a prospective president? The committee recently chose the international executive firm Russell Reynolds Associates to help with the search. The Russell Reynolds team, led by consultants Ilene Nagel and Nancy Mistretta, is expected to visit campus in September to talk with members of the campus community about CC’s needs and priorities. “We are seeking the broadest possible input from the Connecticut College community on-campus and off,” McLoughlin said. The new president will succeed Norman Fainstein, who announced in February that he will step down as of June 30, 2006.
