Bulfinch show starts at 9 p.m.

The music world is pretty small and so is the Connecticut College alumni community, says Jesse Perkins '96. But there's a lot of networking going on in both, and it didn't take long for members of four Boston-area bands featuring CC alumni to find each other.

The friends will all perform on the same stage at the Bulfinch Yacht Club www.thebyc.com on Saturday, April 21 starting at 9 p.m. The club is at 234 Friend Street near North Station, and there's an $8 cover.

Here is the schedule for the evening:

• 9 p.m.: Sam Bigelow '99 (www.myspace.com/sfbread)
• 10 p.m.: The Hartwells, with Ethan Rossiter '97 (www.myspace.com/thehartwells)
• 11 p.m.: Lorntell, featuring Jesse Perkins '96 (www.myspace.com/lorntell)
• Midnight: Oneside, with Ned deBary '02 and Ian Knox '02 (www.myspace.com/oneside )

All are the singer/songwriter/frontmen of their bands and all played music while at Connecticut College.

Perkins writes, "Different combinations of us have played together in the past, but this is the first time all four of these bands have played together; it's something I've had in mind for a while and we just got lucky that all of our schedules worked out to make it possible."

"I talked to the club and they liked the idea, so it all fell into place. Now we're just hoping to get some support from our fellow alums who love live music, and if the night's a success we can try to do it more often."
