Come home, come togetherGenerations of alumni whose class years end in '2 or '7 will "come home" June 1-3 to reconnect with friends, catch up on what's happening at Conn and meet the new president, Lee Higdon. Reunion 2007 will include tours of campus and the Arboretum, family events, mini-classes and panel discussions on topics ranging from Impressionism and ethics to Korea's isolation and strife in the Mideast. There will, of course, also be plenty of time for relaxing and socializing. Alumni authors will share their talent for the written word at a book signing and reading. The alumni parade, an annual display of class pride, will feature a Dixieland band. The Capitol Steps, a comedy troupe, will perform Friday night. This will be the first Reunion for Lee Higdon, who became president July 1, 2006, and for Ann Higdon, his wife. She will be the speaker at the annual Sykes Society lunch; he will deliver "state of the College" remarks at the annual meeting of the Alumni Association. The Higdons are also hosting an open house at their home. To view the Reunion schedule, see who's planning to return and register online, go to www.conncoll.edu/alumni/reunion07.
