The holiday season has arrived, and alumni gatherings are scheduled to take place in several cities during the second week of December. Check the Office of Alumni Relations calendar for details.

See pictures of fall athletes in action this season and look below for more campus news.

•  International odyssey. Roy and Anne Oppenheim Freed ’38 — awarded Fulbrights at the age of 72 — have made 14 trips to Bulgaria since 1987.
•  SYNERGY. Frances Pratt ’60 P’89 re-visits her symbolic sculpture near the entrance to campus.
•  In concert. The Shwiffs, CC’s first a cappella group, commemorate 60 years with a sweet reunion concert.
•  Best in the biz. Google’s Tim Armstrong ’93 is recognized for his talent and innovation in the advertising industry this week.
•  From Jerusalem. Emily Huebscher ’05, pursuing a childhood dream, is in her first year of rabbinical study.
•  Available: energetic interns. The Alumni Association Board of Directors is looking for alumni and parents to expand opportunities for students.

Announcements

How did the camel become the CC mascot? Was it a connection to Pakistan, or students brainstorming in the basement of Larrabee the night before their first game? The dueling versions are posted at the CC Web site.

Reunion 2006 is June 2-4 for alumni whose class years end in ’1 and ’6. Read what the College has planned for the weekend and fill out an online form to share your ideas for events.
