Hurricane Katrina
•  CC responds. The College reaches out to Katrina’s victims.
•  Surviving the storm. Dr. Harry Pigman ’74 and his family rode out the hurricane in their New Orleans home and are making a new start.

Campus news
•  In the field. Four students of anthropology Professor Harold Juli immersed themselves in the life of a small Mexican farming village this summer.
•  Fighting back. Bruce Hoffman ’76, a terrorism expert whose interest began as a freshman at CC, will speak during Fall Weekend on the transformation of al Qaeda since 9/11.
•  Camel pride. Five alumni athletes return to coach at their alma mater.
•  Lending a hand. Two CC alumnae are being recognized for their philanthropic work. Claire L. Gaudiani ’66, president of the College from 1988-2001, has been honored by Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy and Agnes Gund ’60, a former CC trustee, is a 2005 recipient of the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy.
•  The right stuff. Professors Marc Zimmer and Sunil Bhatia receive the Nancy Rash and John King awards at convocation; Lindsey Harlan delivers keynote.

Join CC alumni at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. CC will sponsor a tent in the reunion village on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
