Senior dance majors to perform in thesis concert

Seniors majoring in dance at Connecticut College will present their theses in "Stages," a dance concert with performances April 19-21 in Palmer Auditorium. Dance students will perform works choreographed by seniors Morgan Griffin, Audrey MacLean, Charlotte Rosen, Christina Stabile and Amy Smith, as well as pieces choreographed by faculty and guest artists including: - Adele Myers, visiting assistant professor of dance, who will present a new work with an original score composed by Josh Quillen of the So Percussion ensemble - Jennifer Nugent of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company - Kendra Portier of David Dorfman Dance - David Parker of The Bang Group, who - assisted by Jeffery Kazin '86 and Nic Petry - created his dance during a two-week residency at Connecticut College - Laura Dean, a choreographer known for her minimalist style of dance: Students will present the final staging of her work "Sky Light" accompanied by drummers Kyle Olson '07 and Steven Buttery Dance enthusiasts will want to see both versions of "Stages" in order to see all student pieces. Show A is on April 19 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Show B is on April 20 at 7:30 p.m. and April 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $6 for students and seniors.
