Connecticut College 3, Roger Williams University 1 Manning Buries Nine Kills, Hits .500 for Camels

BRISTOL, R.I.--Amy Newman (Los Angeles, Calif.) posted a double-double with 22 kills and 11 digs and Chelsea Manning (Cockeysville, Md.) added nine kills and three digs with a sizzling .500 hitting percentage as Connecticut College (4-1) rolled to a 3-1 victory at Roger Williams University (5-5) Tuesday night. The game scores were 25-20, 20-25, 25-20 and 25-19. Katie Ketcham (San Francisco, Calif.) distributed 44 assists in the victory for the Camels. Senior Lauren Wise (Oakton, Va.) chipped in with nine kills and nine digs. Sophomore libero Ally Terlizzi (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) registered 10 digs in the match. Kristina Dolan (Glenmont, N.Y.) and Brittney Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) each contributed seven kills in the setback for the Hawks. Emily Lebowitz (Coventry, Conn.) dished out 24 assists for the hosts. The Camels will visit Tufts University Friday night for an 8:00 p.m. match against Bowdoin College in their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) opener. In the past four years, Connecticut College has posted a 26-14 (.650) mark in NESCAC play.
