Camels Place 10th in 46 Team Field at UMass-Dartmouth McKenna Paces Camels, Garners All-Invitational Honors NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.--Junior Faye McKenna (Amston, Conn.) posted a time of 18:58 en route to a 21st place finish in the field of 301 runners at UMass Dartmouth Saturday, earning a spot on the All-Invitational Team for Connecticut College. The Camels scored 271 points to place 10th in the field of 46 teams on the 5k course. MIT tallied 60 points to win the invitational. Brandeis University took second place with a score of 75 points. The Keene State Owls accrued 115 points in a third place showing. Junior Kelsey Taylor (East Hampton, Conn.) continues to flourish as one of the team´s top harriers. On the heels of her All-Invitational run at Trinity, Taylor was 26th with a time of 19:08 Saturday, finishing just one place behind the top 25 cutoff for the All-Invitation team. Julianne Fowler (Guilford, Conn.) posted a time of 19:54 as third Camel scorer and 68th runner to reach the finish line. Sophomore Lindsay Paiva (Coventry, R.I.) was 78th overall with a time of 20:06. Chiara Pandolfi (Rome, Italy) posted a time of 20:08 as the 81st runner to complete the course. Sophomore Kerry Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) was next, placing 89th with a time of 20:20. Senior captain Colleen MacPhee (Maplewood, N.J.) posted a time of 20:34 as the seventh Camel scorer (108). In the junior varsity race, the Camels scored 119 points to place fourth in the 34 team field. Leah Demarest (Amherst, N.H.) and Ally Bonito (Guilford, Conn.) paced the Camels with 15th and 17th place finishes in the field of 208 runners, notching respective times of 20:16 and 20:23. Merry Byrne (Brookside, N.J.) logged a time of 20:41 to place 26th in the field as the third Camel scorer. Michelle Wesley (Millwood, N.Y.) completed the course in 21 minutes flat to place 38th overall. Melanie Poole (Middlefield, Conn.) recorded a time of 21:17 to finish 47th. Clare Murphy-Hagan was 55th with a time of 21:42 and Lianne Swanson (Franklin, Mass.) rounded out the top seven as the 62nd finisher with a time of 21:49.
