WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.-Charles Romero (Mansfield, Mass.) erupted with a hat-trick Saturday to lead the Williams College Ephs (2-0-1, 1-0-1) to a 4-0 victory against Connecticut College (1-1, 1-1) in NESCAC men´s soccer action Saturday. Romero scored two goals in the opening half and completed the trifecta with a tally in the 51st minute. Junior forward Gaston Kelly (Hingham, Mass.) assisted on two of Romero´s scores. Senior Andrew Graham (Northbrook, Ill.) earned the victory for the hosts, stopping one shot in 77 minutes of action. Junior Jeffrey Lauer (San Diego, Calif.) stopped one shot in relief. Connecticut College senior Alex Martland (Marblehead, Mass.) had five saves in the setback. The Camels are already looking ahead to what promises to be an exciting week of soccer in New London. Wednesday night, Connecticut College will visit the Coast Guard for a 7:00 p.m. game under the lights. Head coach Kenny Murphy and the Camels will then host Amherst College Saturday afternoon for a 2:30 p.m. game on Tempel Green.
