Camels Place Sixth out of 17 Teams at Home Invitational Wright Garners All-Invitational Honors in Sixth Place Finish WATERFORD, Conn.--The Connecticut College men´s cross country hosted its home invitational at Harkness State Park Saturday. Sophomore Doug Wright (Darien, Conn.) posted a time of 25:34 to finish sixth on the 8k course, earning a spot on the All-Invitational Team for the Camels. The Camels placed sixth in the field of 17 teams with a score of 172 points. Tufts University won the invitational with a score of 48 points. Bowdoin College finished second with a score of 64 points. Brandeis University tallied 111 points to place third in the field. Tufts University senior Jesse Faller (Burlington, Mass.) won the race with a time of 25:17. Junior Shawn Mulcahy (Lebanon, Conn.) was the second Camel to complete the course, finishing 18th overall in a time of 26:03. Timothy Murtagh (Rowley, Mass.) posted a time of 26:24 as the 30th runner. Junior David Aigler (Medfield, Mass.) finished in 63rd place with a time of 27:06. Brett Herrick (Boxborough, Mass.) logged a time of 27:18 to finish in 74th place. Nate Lovitt (Madison, Conn.) was the 84th runner to complete the course with a time of 27:43 for the Camels. Andrew Patton (West Orange, N.J.) posted a time of 27:49 to finish in 88th place. Complete results from the 2009 Connecticut College Invitational are available at the Cool Running web site
