Matzinger Leads Camels with 10 Goals Scored this Season
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The Harvard University Crimson (5-12) earned a 13-4 victory against Connecticut College (0-4) in a Northern Division match up played at the Blodgett Pool Thursday night.
Connecticut College head coach JJ Addison was impressed with the team´s man-down defense. The Camels were 7-for-10 in shorthanded situations but were held scoreless in two extra man situations of their own.
The Camels trailed by just four goals at the break in a close 7-3 game. The Crimson were too strong in the second stanza though, holding a 6-to-1 advantage in the final two quarters of action.
Senior Connor Matzinger (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) had three scores in the match and has netted 10 goals to lead the Camels through first four matches of the season. Sam Mitchell (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) chipped in with a score for the visitors.
Clayton Witter (New York, N.Y.) made seven saves in the setback.
