Wright-Mulcahy Lead Camels at Plansky Invitational
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.--The Connecticut College men´s cross country team competed in the Williams College 8k Plansky Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Camels finished one point behind RPI in third place with a score of 56 points in the six team field.
Tufts University won the race with a score of 26 points. The Camels finished ahead of the Assumption College Greyhounds (114). There were two additional incomplete teams in the field.
Jesse Faller of Tufts University won the race with a time of 26:19. Connecticut College sophomore Doug Wright (Darien, Conn.) posted a time of 26:29 to finish second amongst the collegiate competition and fourth overall. Junior Shawn Mulcahy (Lebanon, Conn.) ran his best race of the season for the Camels and was the third collegiate finisher in sixth place with a time of 26:45.
Freshman Tim Murtagh (Rowley, Mass.) was the third Connecticut College Camel to complete the course and 22nd runner Saturday with a time of 27:50. Wright and Mulcahywere honored on the All-Invitational Team for placing in the top 15.
