#22 Middlebury College 6, Connecticut College 0 Ross Records 11 Saves for Camels

MIDDLEBURY, Vt--Annie Rowell (Craftsbury, Vt.) and Amy Schlueter (San Francisco, Calif.) scored two goals each to lead the Middlebury College Panthers (8-1-1, 6-1-1) to a 6-0 victory against Connecticut College (3-8, 0-7) in NESCAC women´s soccer action played on Dragone Field Saturday. Rowell opened the scoring with a goal in the ninth minute of play off of a corner kick. Schlueter buried a header with 16:40 remaining in the opening half that extended the Panther advantage to two goals. Connecticut College sophomore Jacqui Durand (Natick, Mass.) nearly scored for the visitors with a free kick at the end of the half but her shot was deflected and sailed over the cross-bar. Middlebury scored their third goal 6:36 into the second stanza and continued to pull away in the 6-0 win. Junior Lauryn Torch (Bronxville, N.Y.) made three saves en route to her fifth shutout of the season for the Panthers. Connecticut College senior Jenna Ross (Longmeadow, Mass.) stopped 11 shots in the setback. The Camels will host Mitchell College Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. game on Tempel Green.
