Taylor (56th), Dermody (59th) Pace Camels at NESCAC Championship
MANCHESTER, Conn.--Kelsey Taylor (East Hampton, Conn.) and Kerry Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) finished 56th and 59th as Connecticut College placed 10th in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Cross Country Championship at Wickham Park Sunday with a score of 280 points.
Taylor and Dermody completed the 6k course with respective times of 24:02 and 24:05 for the Camels. Middlebury College edged out second place Williams College by a 10 point margin to win the Championship with a score of 49 points. Amherst College placed third with a score of 71 points.
Sophia Galleher (Denver, Colo.) of Amherst took the individual title, covering the course in 21:39.
Connecticut College sophomore Lindsay Paiva (Coventry, R.I.) and senior captain Colleen MacPhee (Maplewood, N.J.) completed the course together in 74th and 75th place with times of 24:37 and 24:38. Sophomore Ally Bonito (Guilford, Conn.) posted a time of 24:58 as the 85th runner to reach the finish line.
Sophomore Julianne Fowler (Guilford, Conn.) was 89th with a time of 25:09. Melanie Poole (Middlefield, Conn.) posted a time of 25:14 to finish in 90th place for the Camels.
