Lenzi Named First Team All-District 1 in CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Program

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College senior Mickey Lenzi of Hauppauge N.Y. has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine District One Men´s Soccer All-Academic First Team. A team tri-captain, Lenzi helped lead the Camels to a record of 8-6-1 in the program´s best finish in over a decade. Lenzi anchored the middle of a stingy Connecticut College defense that posted six shutouts this fall. In addition to his leadership responsibilities with the athletic program, Lenzi holds a managerial position with the office of residence life as a campus Housefellow. A Dean´s High Honors student, Lenzi is majoring in English while pursuing a minor in government. Lenzi mentors incoming students as advisor for College. He has volunteered as a tutor with the Benny Dover Jr. High School in New London and at the College's Children's Center. A versatile two-sport athlete, Lenzi is a prominent contributor to the track & field program. He holds the school record in the pentathlon.
