Mulcahy Finishes 47th at New England D. 3 Championship for Camels

CUMBERLAND, Maine.--Connecticut College junior Shawn Mulcahy (Lebanon, Conn.) posted a time of 26:28 to finish 47th on the 8k course in the New England Division III Championship at the Twin Brook Recreation Center in Cumberland, Maine Saturday. The Camels finished 15th out of 48 scoring teams with 490 points. Williams College cruised to the championship by placing five of its harriers in the top 15. Edgar Kosgey (Eldoret River Valley, Kenya) won his second straight individual crown for the Ephs with a time of 25:16. Amherst College placed second with a score of 104 points. Junior Nate Lovitt (Madison, Conn.) was the second Camel to complete the course and 93rd finisher with a time of 27:17. Julian Gallo (Peabody, Mass.) was next in 98th place with a time of 27:22. Tim Murtagh (Rowley, Mass.) posted a time of 27:25 in 104th place as the fourth Camel scorer. Brett Herrick (Boxborough, Mass.) checked in with a time of 28:11 as the 148th runner to complete the course. Colin Gallant (Ashford, Conn.) posted a time of 28:58 to place 194th in the field. Andrew Duarte (Rocky Hill, Conn.) rounded out the top seven in 198th place with a time of 29:02 for Connecticut College.
