Roger Williams 76, Connecticut College 59 Camels Host ECSU in Home Opener Sunday Afternoon

BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Roger Williams University Hawks (4-0) defeated the Connecticut College Camels (1-2) 76-59 in a non-conference men´s basketball game played in Bristol, R.I. Tuesday night. Gary Madison (Waterbury, Conn.) poured in a game-high 30 points to lead the hosts on their home court. Corey Fava (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) chipped in with nine points, nine rebounds and 12 assists for RWU. Connecticut College senior Shavar Bernier (Dover, N.H.) netted 18 points and dished out six assists in the setback. Demetrius Porter (Virginia Beach, Va.) added 14 points and five boards for the Camels. Junior Dean Lampe (Hamilton, Mass.) contributed seven points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field. The Camels will host Eastern Connecticut State University Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Luce Fieldhouse.
