RIC 74, Connecticut College 53 Jacqueline Shinall Nets 17 Points for Camels

Providence, R.I.-- Sophomore guard Stephanie Coro (North Providence, R.I.) poured in a game-high 20 points to lead the undefeated Rhode Island College Anchorwomen (6-0) to a 74-53 win against Connecticut College (2-3) at The Murray Center Thursday night. First year forward Courtney Burns (Rockland, Mass.) chipped in with 18 points for the winning side. Junior guard Denise Scott (Yonkers, N.Y.) added 15 points, five rebounds and three steals for the hosts. Connecticut College sophomore Jacqueline Shinall (Redding, Conn.) scored a team-high 17 points on 5-for-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Jenn Shinall (Redding, Conn.) finished with 12 points for the Camels. Connecticut College will look to get back on track this Saturday when they host the Blue Jays of St. Joseph´s College for a 1:00 p.m. game at Luce Fieldhouse.
