Connecticut College women´s hockey player Erin Davey ´10 helped lead her team to its third straight win recently, with three goals and a goal assist in just two games. A forward for the team, Davey has just been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women´s Hockey Player of the Week. Davey tallied two goals and an assist in a 4-2 victory at Hamilton. The next day she scored again, helping the Camels to a 7-3 triumph over Wesleyan. Davey leads the club with seven goals and has amassed nine points this season, for a total of 19 goals, nine assists and 28 points in her three year career with the Camel hockey program. A two-sport athlete for the Camels, Davey was a team tri-captain and starting midfielder for the women´s soccer team this fall. At Proctor Academy, the versatile athlete captained the soccer, hockey and softball squads. In the classroom, Davey has been equally impressive, excelling as a Dean´s List student. The junior scholar is majoring in theater and also carries a minor in sociology. The hefty time commitment and stringent demands of competing on two varsity-level collegiate sports teams has not stopped Davey from volunteering her time with a number of campus organizations and community service programs. Davey works with the Office of Volunteer and Community Service (OVCS) as a student representative and has served as a coordinator with Project KBA (Kids, Books, Athletics), a grass roots initiative that promotes literacy and fitness in the New London schools. She also works with the office of residence life as a floor governor and is an active member of the theater advisory committee.
