Connecticut College 5, Holy Cross 2 Stanton Leads Camels Past Crusaders

WORCESTER, Mass. --The Connecticut College men´s tennis team earned a 5-2 season opening victory against the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. Friday afternoon. Senior co-captain Craig Stanton (Warwick, R.I.) gutted out a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 victory at #2 singles to lead the Camels to the win. Colin Tasi, Henry Friedman and Marshall Collins chipped in with wins in singles actions for the Camels. In double action, Friedman teamed up with Chris Hakusui in an 8-2 triumph at #2 doubles for head coach Chris O´Brien´s Camels. Connecticut College 5, Holy Cross 2 Singles 1. Matt Wierzel (HC) def.
