Achieved--It´s been a great month for the Camel athletic program! Here are a few of the Camels that are standing out in the early season. Believe it, they achieved it. Boudreau, Matt ´13--Was the Camels´ top runner at the split squad UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday, posting a time of 27:52 on the 8k course. Brugman, Atlantic ´13-A starting skipper on the women´s sailing team from Barcelona, Spain helped lead the 10th ranked Camels to a victory in the 19 team Dartmouth Intersectional/Mrs. Hurst Bowl Cote, Jill ´12-Scored the game-winning goal for the Camel women´s soccer team against Mitchell Friday DeMais, Marissa ´11-Dished out 52 assists to rally the Camel volleyball team in a 3-2 victory against Williams College Friday. DeMais has distributed 2831 assists in her career and is just 169 helpers shy of reaching the 3,000 assist plateau. Hine, Abby ´11-The NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week needs nine points to become the school´s all-time leading scorer. Lasher, Jessie ´11-Buried nine kills with three blocks to lead the Camel volleyball team past Hamilton Saturday, 3-0 Marini, Casey ´14-Made Three of his nine saves in the first overtime, leading the Camel men´s soccer team to a 0-0 2ot tie versus fourth ranked Williams College. Marshall, Mike ´11-Captain and skipper on the coed sailing team, led the Camels to a fourth place finish in the A Division at the Hatch Brown Trophy Regatta in Boston, Mass. Mitchell, Sam ´12-Is gearing up for three home men´s water polo matches this weekend. The junior sharp shooter exploded with 47 goals in 2009 O´Brien, Chris (Men´s and Women´s Tennis Head Coach)-After serving in an interim capacity in the spring of 2010, O´Brien won his first official match as head coach September 10. Paiva, Lindsay ´12--Posted a time of 19:21 in 36th place as the first Camel to the finish line at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational Pandolfi, Chiara ´11-Placed 40th at UMass Dartmouth with a time of 19:27 Prophet, Trevor ´11--Leads the NESCAC with seven points and shares the league lead with three goals in the early season. Rich, Aimee ´14-Has notched two shutouts in her first three starts, helping the field hockey team race out to its fastest start since 2000. Stanton, Craig ´11-Secured a three-set victory for the men´s tennis team in a season-opening victory at Holy Cross Sept. 10 Wright, Doug ´12--Finished in 60th Place at the Iona College D-1 Meet of Champions.
