The Connecticut College men´s water polo team will open the 2010 season Friday with a 7:30 p.m. match against Brown University in Lott Natatorium. Saturday, the Camels will host St. Francis at 12:30 and close out the day with a 7:00 p.m. match against their Northern Division rival, Queens. Passion rules the game for head coach JJ Addison, who is extremely popular with the student athletes on campus and continues to do everything possible to keep the team in contention. Addison will turn to junior Sam Mitchell for some instant offense. Mitchell erupted with 47 goals in a breakout season while Burns shredded the nets with 33 goals in his rookie season. Junior James Green, the lone captain on the squad is the team´s top returning defender. Nick Sizer is a versatile two-sport athlete who will likely improve on his offensive production of 11 goals last fall. Hahn Je provides a physical presence around the cage and scored nine goals last year. Sophomore Clayton Witter averaged 10.8 saves per outing a year ago and should continue to be busy in between the pipes.
