#19 Amherst College 6, Connecticut College 3

AMHERST, Mass.-The 19th ranked Amherst College field hockey team earned a 6-3 victory against Connecticut College in NESCAC action played in Western Mass. Saturday. The Camels suffer their first conference setback, slipping to 4-1 with a 2-1 record in the NESCAC. Amherst improves to 3-2 with a 2-2 mark in conference play. Six different players scored for the Hosts, who out-shot the Camels 21-to-5 in the win. Kate McMahon finished with a goal and two assists for the winning side. Carly Dudzik (Darien, Conn.) registered two assists for the Lord Jeffs. Connecticut College senior Abby Hine (Madison, Conn.) scored two more goals, raising her career total to 89 points, just one-point shy of the program´s all-time scoring leader, Emily Huffman ´04 who tallied 90 points on a grass surface. Britt Fitzgerald (Ridgefield, Conn.) had a goal and two assists and Liz Rosenfeld (Leola, Pa.) added two assists for the Camels. Aimee Rich (Darien, Conn.) finished with eight saves for the Camels. Sarah Wise (Akron, Ohio) made two saves for the Lord Jeffs.
