Cote Scores 2nd Goal of Season for Camels
BRUNSWICK, Maine --The Bowdoin College women´s soccer team collected a 3-1 victory against Connecticut College in NESCAC action played on Pickard Field Saturday.
The Polar Bears improve to a 4-2-1 with the win and even their mark at 2-2-1 in league play. The Camels had their three game unbeaten streak snapped with the setback, falling to 2-3-1 with an 0-3-1 record in the NESCAC.
The hosts vaulted out to a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute of action with a goal from Celeste Swan. Later on in the half, the Polar Bears opened up a 2-0 advantage with a goal from Casey Blossom.
In the second half, Ellery Gould netted her fifth of the season. The Camels scored late in the half when Jill Cote found a seam in the Polar Bear defense and netted her second of the season.
Brigi Palatino recorded a team-best three shots in the loss for the visitors.
Kat Flaherty stopped seven shots for the hosts in the win. Sophomore Kirsten Manville made four saves in the loss for Connecticut College.
