BOSTON, Mass.--The Connecticut College women´s cross country team competed in the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championship held in the Franklin Park Saturday. The Camels finished in 39th place, one spot ahead of 40th place Smith College and one slot behind the Yellow Jackets of American International College. The Boston College Eagles won the championship with a score of 26 points. The University of Connecticut finished in second place with 116 points and Middlebury College placed third with a score of 163 points. Junior Lindsay Paiva (Coventry, R.I.) posted a time of 20:21 on the 5k course to lead the Camels as the 192nd finisher. Senior Chiara Pandolfi (Rome, Italy) finished in 210th place with a time of 20:38. Kerry Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) checked in with a time of 20:42 in 220th place. Junior Ally Bonito (Guilford, Conn.) and senior Kelsey Taylor (East Hampton, Conn.) placed 244th and 245th for the Camels with respective times of 21:01 and 21:03. Sophomore Merry Byrne (Brookside, N.J.) posted a time of 21:06 in 246th place and Katie Beers (Fayetteville, N.Y.) was the 258th finisher in 21:25. Michelle Wesley (Millwood, N.Y.) finished in 25th place in the junior varsity race with a time of 21:19 for Connecticut College.
