Paiva Finishes 55th for Camels at NESCAC Championship
CLINTON, N.Y.--Connecticut College junior Lindsay Paiva (Coventry, R.I.) posted a time of 24:11 on the 6k course at Hamilton College Saturday to finish in 55th place at the 2010 NESCAC Championship. The Camels finished 11th as a team with a score of 321 points.
The Middlebury College Panthers placed their first five runners among the top eight, to win their third consecutive NESCAC crown. Williams College was second with 49 points and the Amherst College Lord Jeffs took third place with a score of 88 points.
Sophomore Jennifer Gossels of Williams College posted a time of 22:13 to win the race as the individual champion for the Ephs.
Connecticut College junior Kerry Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) was the second Camel and 82nd runner to complete the course with a time of 25:03. Senior Chiara Pandolfi (Rome, Italy) posted a time of 25:14 en route to an 86th place showing for Connecticut College. Sophomore Katie Beers (Fayetteville, N.Y.) completed the course in 106th place with a time of 25:51.
Junior Ally Bonito (Guilford, Conn.) and senior Kelsey Taylor (East Hampton, Conn.) were 108th and 109th in the field with respective times of 25:55 and 25:58 for Connecticut College. Sophomore Michelle Wesley (Millwood, N.Y.) was the seventh Camel to complete the course with a time of 26:06 in 111th place.
