Camels Place 14th in 53 Team Field at New England D. 3 Championship

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.--The Connecticut College women´s cross country team traveled to Western Massachusetts to compete in the New England Division III Championship at Mount Greylock High School Saturday. The Camels achieved their goal, moving up one place from their 2009 to finish14th in the 53 team field with 517 points. Top ranked Middlebury College scored 58 points to win the regional crown. Williams College was second with 91 points and the Lord Jeffs of Amherst College placed third with a total of 103 points. Junior Lindsay Paiva (Coventry, R.I.) posted a time of 24:27 to place 75th for the Camels on the 6k course. Kerry Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) finished in 88th place with a time of 24:51. Senior Chiara Pandolfi (Rome, Italy) registered a time of 25:11 to place 102nd in the field for Connecticut College. Kelsey Taylor (East Hampton, Conn.) completed the course in 25:19 to finish in 111th place. Sophomore Katie Beers (Fayetteville, N.Y.) was 145th in the field with a time of 25:49. Junior Ally Bonito (Guilford, Conn.) posted a time of 26:27 to finish in 183rd place for Connecticut College. Results from the 2010 New England Division III Championship are available here .
