Connecticut College 1, Colby College 0 Murray, Leichliter Propel Camels to NESCAC Victory in Waterville

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Rookie defender Paige Murray (Andover, Mass.) scored 5:31 into the second period and Amy Leichliter (Westchester, Pa.) recorded 22 saves to lead the Connecticut College women's hockey team a 1-0 victory against Colby College in NESCAC action played at Alfond Rink Friday night. The Camels improve to 3-2 overall and 3-2 in conference action, while the Mules fall to 2-3 overall and 1-3 in NESCAC play. Leichliter lowered her goals against average to 1.40 and has registered a .940 save percentage in the first five games of the season for the Camels. Colby first-year goalie Brianne Wheeler (Brussels, Ont.) made 28 saves in the loss. The Camels will visit Bowdoin College Saturday afternoon for a 4:00 p.m. game in Brunswick, Maine.
