Camels Place Second at Seven Team Wesleyan Invitational

MIDDLETOWN, Conn.-The Connecticut College women's cross country team made a short drive to compete in the Wesleyan Invitational Saturday. The Camels placed second in the seven team field with a score of 59 points. Results The Wesleyan Cardinals placed four of their runners among the top seven in the field to win their home invitational with a score of 25 points. Senior Kerry Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) placed fifth with a time of 19:58. Lindsay Paiva (Coventry, R.I.) posted a time of 20:03 to finish eighth for Connecticut College. Lianne Swanson (Franklin, Mass.) checked in with a time of 20:17 to finish 13th in the field. Aly Bonito (Guilford, Conn.) was 18th with a time of 20:36. Michelle Wesley (Millwood, N.Y.) posted a time of 20:46 as the 21st finisher and fifth Camel scorer. Senior Libby Maret (Sandy Hook, Conn.) was 26th with a time of 20:58 and Heather Rochford finished 35th with a time of 21:44. Sophomore Grace Glynn (Saco, Maine) was the eighth Camel to complete the course in the 21:54.
