Connecticut College 3, Saint Joseph College 0 Stavola Contributes with 10 Kills & 5 Aces for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory against Saint Joseph College in a non-conference match played at Luce Field House Tuesday night. The game scores were 25-8, 25-11 and 25-22 in favor of the hosts. The Camels improve to 9-3 with the win, while the Blue Jays drop to 4-10 with the setback. Sophomores Calli Stavola (Montauk, N.Y.) paved the way to the victory with 10 kills and just one hitting error to go with five aces for the Camels. Jodie Shearer (Beaver, Pa.) chipped in with seven kills and seven digs. Junior setter Katie Ketcham (San Francisco, Calif.) finished with 18 assists and five aces for Connecticut Colege. Erin Barker (Edwards, Colo.) contributed with eight assists and four digs for the winning side. Stacey Velasquez (Norwalk, Conn.) tallied two aces for the Blue Jays. Michelle DiPinto (Burlington, Conn.) buried three kills for the visitors. Jessica Patrizi (Beacon Falls, Conn.) finished with seven assists for SJC.
