NEWPORT, R.I.--The Connecticut College volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory at Salve Regina University Thursday night. The Camels improve to 15-6 with their third straight win, while the Seahawks (15-8) had their winning streak snapped at four matches. Senior Amy Newman (Los Angeles, Calif.) buried 21 kills and added six digs to lead the Camels to the triumph. Ally Terlizzi (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) chipped in with a match-high 14 digs for the visitors. Junior Katie Ketcham (San Francisco, Calif.) dished out a 35 assists and added nine digs to go along with six kills in the triumph. Rachel Schroff (Palos Verdes, Calif.) contributed nine kills and four digs in the victory. Bianca Smith (San Jose, Calif.) added seven kills and a pair of digs for the winning side. The Camels will host the Coast Guard and Endicott College for a tri-match event at Luce Field House Saturday. Seniors Amy Newman and Ally Terlizzi will be honored prior to the 4:00 p.m. match against the Endicott Gulls.
