Green Leads Camels to 18th Place Finish at ECAC Championship
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.--The Connecticut College men's cross country team traveled to Williamstown, Massachusetts Saturday to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship at Mount Greylock High School. Results
The Camels placed 18th in the 51 team field with a score of 491 points. Williams College placed three of its runners in the top five to win the ECAC Championship with a score of 44 points.
New England College sophomore Antoine Gisore was the individual champion with a time of 26:10 on the 8k course.
Connecticut College senior Brenner Green (Lisbon, Conn.) paced the Camels in 54th place with a time of 28:05. Andrew Majkut (Upton, Mass.) posted a time of 28:42 in 83rd place.
Freshmen Michael Joyce (Wallingford, Conn.) and Billy Barnes (New York, N.Y.) posted times of 28:54 and 29:05 as the 90th and 106th finishers. Junior Patrick Myers (South Burlington, Vt.) was the162nd finisher with a time of 30:08. Senior Dan Post (Pepper Pike, Ohio) logged a time of 30:44 in 195th place.
Billy Martinsky (Monroe, Conn.) was the seventh Camel scorer in 216th place with a time of 31:09.
Connecticut College will visit Bowdoin College next Saturday to compete in the New England Division III Championship.
