Maret Finishes in 75th Place at ECAC Championship for Camels
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --The Connecticut College women's cross country team traveled to Williamstown, Massachusetts Saturday to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship at Mount Greylock High School. Results
With their top seven runners resting in preparation for the New England Division III Championship next weekend, the Camels placed 22nd in the 45 team field with a score of 672 points. Middlebury College placed four runners in the top five to win the ECAC Crown with a score of 25 points.
Middlebury College Senior Claire McIlvennie was the first runner to the finish line with a time of 22:33 on the 6k course.
Connecticut College was led by senior Libby Maret's (Sandy Hook, Conn.) 75th place finish in 25:32. Anna Curtis-Heald (Cumberland Foreside, Maine) posted a time of 26:37 as the 114th finisher. Sophomore Grace Glynn (Saco, Maine) was the 140th runner in 27:11.
Ali Cookson (Beverly, Mass.) checked in with a time of 27:44 in 163rd place. Junior Catherine Hallisey (Wethersfield, Conn.) and sophomore Maddy Conley (Dummerston, Vt.) posted identical times of 28:31 to finish in 191st and 192nd place. Ali McLeod (Brewster, Mass.) was the seventh Camel scorer in 198th place with a time of 28:42.
Connecticut College will visit Bowdoin College next Saturday to compete in the New England Division III Championship.
