David Brown '02 pursues passion for basketball

Brown turned his passion for basketball into a full-time job with the launch of "Basketball Stars of New York," a clinic and camp for kids. Brown, who played basketball at Connecticut College after transferring from Colgate, left a job with the NBA to work with children. Watch Video.



David Butman '00 co-authors carbon dioxide study

More carbon dioxide is probably being released from streams, rivers and lakes than scientists realize, according to a new study co-authored by Butman, a doctoral candidate at Yale. His research found streams and rivers in the United States alone release almost 100 million metric tons of carbon dioxide each year. More research is needed to determine what percentage of the carbon dioxide in the water could be traced back to human activities like logging or development. View article from the New York Times.
