Camels Close out West Coast Trip with 12-7 Win Versus Cal Tech
PASADENA, Calif.--The Connecticut College women's water polo team continued its West Coast trip with three more matches in the Golden State of California.
The Camels (1-4) closed out their trip with a 12-7 victory against Cal Tech. Connecticut College dropped an 18-8 decision to Pomona-Pitzer and were upended in a 16-5 loss to Claremont Mudd Scripps.
Junior center Kristin Lampley (Reading, Pa.) erupted with seven scores to lead the Camels in the victory at Cal Tech. Nicky Jasbon (Greenacres, Fla.) scored three goals for Connecticut College. Megan Wright (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Emily Hunter (Cheshire, Conn.) chipped in with scores for the winning side.
Pam Lovejoy (Guilford, Conn.) stopped seven saves in the cage.
Jasbon netted five goals in the setback to Pomona-Pitzer. Lampley scored twice and Wright chipped in with a goal. Lovejoy had five saves for the Camels.
The Camels will take on Carthage College this Friday night for a 6:00 p.m. match up in Wheaton, Ill.
