#18 Coed Camels Place 12th at Hatch Brown Trophy Regatta
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The 18th ranked Connecticut College coed sailing team scored 473 points to place 12th in the 18 team Hatch Brown Trophy Regatta at MIT this weekend.
Tufts University won the regatta with a score of 253 points. St. Mary's College of Maryland tallied 301 points to finish second. Boston College totaled 320 points to finish in third place.
In the A division, junior skipper Kevin Martland and Grace Medley sailed to a seventh place score of 151 points. IG Schottlaender and Steph Kapinos scored 168 points in the B division. In the C division, Jordan Bothwick, Pearson Potts, Kat Andril and Kim Bolick placed 10th with a score of 154 points.
The eighth ranked Camel women headed north to Lake Mascoma to compete in the Mrs. Hurst Bowl at Dartmouth College. The Camels finished 20th out of 22 teams with a score of 387 points.
Yale University scored 133 points to win the regatta. Navy placed second with a score of 191 points. The Boston College Eagles scored 198 points to finish in third place.
Sophomore skipper Liz Dubovic, Leah Bevins and Lea Bushnell scored 181 points en route to their 20th place in the A division. In the B division, sophomore Alexandra Romagnoli, Sarah Price and Marina Sachs finished 20th with a score of 206 points for the Camels.
